Revelation

Over the past weeks our pastors have been going through the Churches in Chapter 2 and 3 of Revelation. I want to cover three things that I have learned through this series.

1. God knows our works.

Every word, every deed, every action, every reaction, every work in our life He knows. That has been a sobering thought. Everything? It makes me much more aware of my works.

1. God desires repentance.

I need to turn away from this world and turn toward God even more in my life and my walk. God created us to have relationship with Him. Our relationship is diminished when we have unrepentant sin in our life. Although Jesus died for our sin, it does not mean we can indulge in it without consequences. Sin is the road that leads us away from God. Repentance in the road that leads us back to his compassion, mercy and love.

1. Listen to God.

To every church in this study the scripture says, ‘He that has an ear; let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” If I am not mistaken just about everyone has ears. Which means just about all of us should be listening. God is talking to us. God is leading us and directing us to become everything He created us to be. Would you listen to what the Spirit is saying? Everything the Spirit says leads us back to Jesus.
