The Journey Luke 23
The scene was not much different than it is today. People yelling insults, shaking their heads. Even religious leaders mocking Him to one another saying, show us your power so that we can see and believe. Jesus is still mocked today. Yet, just like at the cross, He is silent to His accusers. Why? Because with nail pierced hands and feet, with a crown of thorns, hanging on the cross, he was more interested in the redemption of mankind than his own reputation. Jesus was more interested in the mission of saving the lost than an admission that would save himself. “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Was his plea at the cross. When Jesus was on the cross, we were on his mind. Living this out in our lives should be our goal. Perfect Love.
