There is a new movie out called “God’s Not Dead”. This movie showcases a debate between a college student and his professor. The student holds true to his convictions and the evidence that The Bible is true and God is Alive. He lays out his evidence as in a court room. The professor bases his position on the fact that very intelligent/educated people have determined there is no God.
Opening weekend this movie, in only 780 theaters, grossed $9.2 million dollars. The movies budget was $500,000. The top movie “Divergent” grossed $56 million. However, they were in over 4000 theaters and the movie cost $85 million to make. It is interesting that the movie industry has called the faith bases movie a flop and “Divergent” (a hunger games copy) a success.
This reminds me of the message Paul wrote to the Corinthians:
But God chose what the world considers nonsense to put wise people to shame. God chose what the world considers weak to put what is strong to shame. Corinthians 1:27 (GW)
God’s not Dead, He’s Alive and Well.
